Terms & Conditions
Last updated: April 3, 2025
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of this website and any SEO services provided by Search Engine Hub, operated by Illan Lebumfacil ("Freelancer"). By engaging our services or using this website, you agree to these terms in full.
1. Services
Search Engine Hub provides independent SEO consulting and execution services including, but not limited to: SEO audits, keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO, local SEO, content optimization, and link building.
The scope of work for each client engagement is defined in a written project agreement or proposal. Work not covered in that agreement is outside the scope of the engagement unless agreed to in writing.
SEO results depend on many factors outside the Freelancer's control, including search engine algorithm changes, competitor activity, and the client's website platform. No specific ranking outcome, traffic level, or revenue result is guaranteed.
2. Client Obligations
To deliver effective SEO services, the client agrees to:
- Provide timely access to the website, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and any other tools required for the engagement
- Respond to requests for information, feedback, or approvals within a reasonable timeframe (typically five business days)
- Implement recommended changes within the agreed timeline, or grant the Freelancer access to implement them directly
- Provide accurate and truthful information about their business, services, and target audience
- Not engage in black-hat SEO practices (link schemes, cloaking, content scraping) that could result in a Google penalty affecting the site
3. Payment Terms
Payment terms are specified in the project agreement. Generally:
- One-time projects (audits, keyword research) require a 50% deposit before work begins, with the remaining 50% due upon delivery
- Monthly retainers are invoiced at the beginning of each month and due within seven days of the invoice date
- Late payments may result in work being paused until the outstanding balance is settled
- Invoices not paid within 30 days of the due date may incur a late fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance
All fees are in Philippine Peso (PHP) unless otherwise agreed. International clients may be billed in USD at the Freelancer's discretion.
4. Intellectual Property
All deliverables produced for a client, including audit reports, keyword research documents, content drafts, and strategy documents, become the client's property upon full payment of the applicable invoice.
The Freelancer retains the right to reference the engagement as part of a portfolio, case study, or general description of experience, without disclosing confidential details or identifying the client without their written permission.
The content, design, and code of this website (searchenginehub.ph) remain the property of Search Engine Hub. No part of this site may be reproduced without written permission.
5. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential any sensitive business information shared during the engagement. This includes, but is not limited to, business strategies, financial data, proprietary processes, and client lists.
This obligation continues for two years after the end of any project agreement.
6. Termination
Either party may terminate an ongoing engagement with 30 days' written notice. Upon termination:
- All work completed up to the termination date will be delivered to the client
- Any outstanding invoices for work completed become immediately payable
- Prepaid fees for future months will be refunded, less any work already in progress for that period
7. Limitation of Liability
The Freelancer's total liability to the client for any claim arising from the services provided shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client in the three months immediately preceding the claim.
The Freelancer is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including loss of revenue or rankings, arising from the services provided or from changes in search engine algorithms.
8. Disputes
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt resolution through direct communication before pursuing formal legal action. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be handled under the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, with the courts of Cebu City as the agreed venue.
9. Changes to These Terms
These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
